A suds bar for everyone on your special friends list!
About Our Soaps
Our Vintage soaps are triple-milled natural soap enriched with rich shea butter, creamy cocoa butter and virgin olive oil to create a luxurious deep cleaning lather. The bars are then paper-wrapped and banded by the grannies at the Historical Association’s Shaw House, who hand wrap every label depicting whimsical vintage images.
The soaps are made for the Moore County Historical Association's Vintage Soap Apothecary by one of the largest, most environmentally sensitive soap companies in the United States, the Greenwich Bay Trading Company. Some of their major clients include Burts Bees and Yves Saint Laurent and yes, not quite as big but very special, our Vintage Soapworks.
Under the Labels menu above, you will find some of our popular label designs. We can produce any type of customization on the front of the label as well as including your logo or shop name on the side at no additional charge. There is no minimum order, but labels are printed in groups of four. We ship within a few days of receipt of the order. Quantity and wholesale discounts are available as low as $1.75 per bar.
SIZE
The size of each bar of soap is 1.875" wide by 2.25" long by 1" thick and weighs approximately 3 oz.
SCENTS
The soaps are a natural fresh scent and one contains a trace of ground apricot to create a luxurious deep cleaning lather. This scent is appealing and preferred by both men and women so it is used on all Men, Coastal and Regional, and Animal labels. Women are usually Soft Linen/Magnolia. Christmas are usually Sugar Pine. Botanical bars such as Rose, Lemon Verbena, Soft Linen/Magnolia, and Sugar Pine are scented accordingly.
SHIPPING
Soaps are shipped in the following carton sizes:
EXTRA LABELS
Last, we also offer label reprints for those labels that someone might like to change. There is no charge if the labels are ordered with an upcoming new soap order.

How We Got in the Soap Business
The Vintage Soap Works is a subsidiary company of The Moore County Historical Association. The Apothecary's sole purpose is to provide a source of income for historical preservation. The business started in 2008 when the founder of Greenwich Bay Trading Company retired to the area. As a history lover, he proposed the idea of the association getting into the soap business with an old-fashioned hand milled soap. The idea took off and when one of our award-winning graphic designers started designing the whimsical labels, and well, the rest is history. Since our beginning in 2008, 100% of the profit from soap sales has gone towards the preservation of history.
